2010 Mainzer Summer Fellowship
The GSAS Honors and Awards Committee has now completed its spring review of student
fellowship applications and made its recommendations. The pool of candidates was strong and
the Committee had to choose from among many worthy proposals. I am pleased to inform you
that you have been selected to receive a 2010 Mainzer Summer Fellowship.
The Mainzer Summer Fellowship is given annually to outstanding advanced doctoral
students. The award supports study in the areas of love and sexuality, gender studies, or the
psychology of love and sexuality. Although there is a preference for a focus on German traditions
in these fields in German literature and in the broader German culture, the award is not limited to
graduate students in the German department nor is it limited to those studying German literature
or culture. The award enables its recipient to visit research sites, such as archival resource
facilities, libraries, laboratories and fieldwork
Prize: $6,000 research fellowship
