NYU doctoral dissertation workshop at NYU Berlin

I am pleased to confirm your stay as a Visiting Graduate Student at the NYU doctoral dissertation workshop to be held at the NYU Research Center in Berlin for the summer period starting June 4 and ending July 13, 2012. You will be provided with NYU student housing in one of three buildings in the centrally located district of Schoneberg. Although you are free to arrive in Berlin before registration with housing, you must plan to arrive on Saturday, June 2 to check in and may check out no earlier than July 14th and no later than Tuesday, July 31. (We are pleased to offer the housing at no cost for 2 weeks beyond the workshop).

We will provide and book one full fare, round trip, economy class ticket, which I would be pleased to have our travel agent investigate as soon as you have a firm idea of your travel dates. (Of course no ticket will be issued without your prior approval.) Once the ticket has been purchased, any changes may result in a penalty or higher fare. As we are unable to pay for such changes, these fees will be your responsibility if incurred. We will also provide you with a per diem stipend of$ 50 to cover your food and incidental costs while in Berlin.

The Provost's Global Research Initiatives supports research-related activities: faculty and graduate student visits to the sites; dissertation workshops for doctoral students; funding for workshops and colloquia at the sites and on the Square; and housing for international visitors collaborating with NYU faculty.
